A beautiful, unusual, rare lamp in pure Art Nouveau style. Such lamps complete with their special shades are really a great rarity.

The cast parts of the lamp consist of a base part, two support arms and a decorated ring as a vase holder. In addition, there are the vase, additional container and font as well as the shade holder and the conical shade, all made of sheet brass.

The two support arms are screwed to the base, to the ring on the vase and to the shade holder. Therefore, the shade holder does not need any further attachment to the burner. The design in pure Art Nouveau rather speaks for a German or Austro-Hungarian production. The burner supplied is by Bünte & Remmler, Frankfurt, which makes a German provenance more likely.

Besides the unusual lamp body with the decorative support arms, the original metal shade is captivating. As with the French "Parisienne" lamps, this metal shade also has recessed glass inserts, which in this case are quite large and irregularly rustic in shape.

The lamp was probably once electrified. The metal font had a hole at the bottom for the cable routing, which was neatly soldered and shut again before the sale. The attachment of the font to the lower part of the base is also completely new. At least one has managed to return an electrified kerosene/paraffin lamp to initially intended operation in a professional manner.

Vase of red lacquered sheet brass, Ø 118 mm. In the vase an additional container of sheet brass. Two long supporting arms attached to the base carry a decorated, openwork ring for the vase as well as the shade holder.
Drop-in font and font lid of sheet brass. Lid Ø 110 mm. A soldered cable hole at the bottom.

10’’’ Reform Kosmos burner of Bünte & Remmler, Frankfurt.
Wick knob marked: Logo of Bünte & Remmler. Black glass insert.
Flat wick 52 mm.

Glass chimney:
10’’’ Kalthoff chimney. Height 250 mm, Ø fitter 38 mm.
Marked: Handelsmarke - Reform 10''' + G B in decorative frame.

Shade and shade holder:
Metal shade, brass plate punched with burls, conical, 5 dark red glass inserts. Ruffled top rim.
Height 125 mm, Ø bottom rim 205 mm.
Shade holder 210 mm, screwed onto the special holder of the lamp.

Lamp dimensions:
Height up to collar 17.2 cm, total height with chimney 46.0 cm.
Total weight 1560 g.
