This lamp is a fine silver-plated Bijou lamp by Richard Evered & Son, complete with its Duplex Bijou burner and globe holder. There are occasionally other Bijou lamps by this company, all silver-plated and with Duplex Bijou burners. This lamp is my only lamp with a small Duplex burner.

The chimney search was problematic. These Bijou burners take special, smaller Duplex chimneys with a narrow bulge and with a 44 mm fitter width at the bottom; and that was difficult to find. About 1 year later I found a Bijou chimney with a narrow bulge. Its bulge diameter of 67 mm only allows British 3 inch tulips. However, all the tulip shades I had were too big for this small lamp. Tulip shades with 3 inch fitter widths turn up from time to time on eBay UK, but they are always oversized for my taste!

It wasn't until much later that I managed to find another Bijou chimney that was completely without bulge (very similar in shape to bottle-shaped chimneys). Now I was also able to use a lead crystal ball shade that fits the distinguished lamp well.

Lamp body:
The entire lamp body is made of well-silvered metal (brass or copper) with fine, punched decorations. Silver is tarnish-protected. Two rubbed areas. Stepped base, Ø 113 mm.
The vase with two handles sits on a short column (Ø 177 mm incl. handles). The vase merges into an elongated neck.
The vase is also a font (very deep), Ø 116 mm. Finely punched leaf ornamentation in the upper part.

Burner:
Duplex Bijou burner of Richard Evered & Son, Birmingham, silver-plated. Thread size 24.7 mm.
Two wick knobs marked: R E & S in coat of arms.
Cap bridge marked: Evered’s.
One flat wick as a loop, 13 mm.

Glass chimney:
Duplex Bijou chimney without bulge. Height 167 mm, Ø fitter 44 mm.
Marked: Reg'd Trade Mark - Stork Brand - Fire Proof - Made in Bohemia + stork.

Shade and shade holder:
Ball shade of colourless lead crystal, heavy pressed glass with cut pattern. Without slip fitter.
Height 135 mm, Ø bottom opening 60 and bulge 149 mm.
Globe holder 3 inch 76 mm, original to Evered Bijou burner, silver-plated.

Lamp dimensions:
Height up to collar 24.5 cm, total height with chimney 44.0 cm.
Total weight 1750 g.
